Written by Vlad on January 19, 2005 – 1:34 pmNeed to know more about the internals of your PC? Sysinternals will help you. Here’s some great tools:
- Process Explorer – shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded. Also available as a command-line tool (dubbed handle)
- File Monitor – monitors and displays file system activity on a system in real-time.
- Registry Monitor – a Registry monitoring utility that will show you which applications are accessing your Registry, which keys they are accessing, and the Registry data that they are reading and writing – all in real-time.
- PS Tools – a set of Unix-like command-line tools that help you administer your Windows NT/2K systems.
Many other interesting tools are available for free download on their website.
