Last week I finally got the chance to see some movies. Among these I’d mention The Cooler (2003) (starring William Macy and Alec Baldwin) which got me quite impressed. I must have underestimated it and didn’t set my expectations on it too high but the movie is a real good one.

Who is this 55-yr old Macy guy that I never heard of before? I mean, he looked familiar (from In Enemy Hands, which is also a good movie if you’re into submarines and WWII) but I sure didn’t expect such a performance from him.

Overall IMHO this movie is a must see!

Also I came across some piece of information on XanderMol.com that made my day: they’re gonna put Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game on screen. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! I can’t wait to see it! The book is high up on my favourites list. According to IMDB the movie might be in theaters next year.
