Million Dollar Homepage
Written by Vlad on September 23, 2005 – 10:38 amAlex Tew is raising money to finance his studies. By selling pixels of his million dollar page:
The idea is simple: to try and make $1m (US) by selling 1,000,000 pixels for $1 each. Hence, ‘The Million Dollar Homepage”. The main motivation for doing this is to pay for my degree studies, because I don’t like the idea of graduating with a huge student debt. I know people who are paying off student loans 15-20 years after they graduated. Not a nice thought!

Check out http://www.PixelAds4All.com – they offer a FREE 100 by 100 pixel “tool tip image” with the purchase of your ad, which acts like a billboard for your site! They are also currently offering their pixels for 50% off, or $50 USD for a 100 pixel block.

I’m gonna tolerate this for now as it seems to be a “hands on” entry, but if you’re gonna advertise on my site you’d better link back to me too.

Here is a great site! The http://www.milliondollarpixellottery.com
where you buy a block for $150 (i.e.$50 more than Alex T’s but it give you the chance to win $1.000.000 with your PayPal Transaction Receipt Number! Great Idea…I think! For $50 you have a 1 to 100.000 chance or more..depending how may you buy to win the Million…a much better chance than any other lottery i have come across!

Alex had a brilliant idea, and many people have tried to copy him (as you’ve seen by the comments on this page). What I have done is take his idea and innovate it.
I’m a 22-year-old university student in Canada, and purchased a condominium unit this past February. I’m trying to pay off the mortgage on it by selling ad space. My condo is 141,000 square inches, so I’m selling 141,000 pixels. I’m paying off my mortgage a square inch at a time!
I also have a number of other unique features you won’t find on any other pixel advertising site.
Take a look, and if you don’t mind, let your friends know about it: MakeMeMortgageFree.com

Sweden, Scmeden, my response to the whole million dollar homepage phenomenom is bring on the cows!
I always wondered why people clicked on the links for these million dollar pages. So I’ve added something that’s different to all the others. Everytime someone clicks on an ad on my site they get a cow. They can print off cows, collect cows, swap cows – even have them fight.
I’m trying to get some interest in my new site, so if you’d like to take a look, go ahead – http://www.milliondollarcowpage.com
