Boycott Mioritics.RSS!
Written by Vlad on October 22, 2006 – 11:42 amI’ve been watching Mioritics.RSS for some time now and every once in a while an interesting feed would pop up. Lately though that’s not the case. And while I put up with spam such as Nicocure, No more hair and Hair loss treatment (wtf: make up your mind already!) I won’t be putting up with the latest Videoclipuri manele.
I’m unsubscribing and will stay away until they get someone to MODERATE entries! If you feel like me, please help boycott Mioritics.RSS! Or at least give them some bad publicity.

dude, help me a little bit to understand.. i know about the spam, I have tried it as a wiki.. so everybody can add it’s site.. it worked for a while and now we’re covered with spam.. true.. but.. but.. you are free to unsubscribe. but why boycot / bad publicity?
It’s a failible system and it’s atacked by spam, i don’t see why anyone should boycott us
It’s a free service, you’ve been fond of it, unsubscribe and wait patiently while we fix things up. again, the boycott thing it kind of pisses me off, i’ve been putting some work in this project.. i just don’t see why I deserve this kind of reaction…

(seriously) Alex, I’m glad you took notice of this post. Why boycott/bad publicity?
- This situation (spam, abuse, questionable content) has been lasting for too long, and you were aware about it (even your dev blog proves that).
- Yet I didn’t see anything done about it (moderated content???).
- And there are substitutes.
- Plus, it’s the only way a community can “impose” on a free service (get something done or we’ out!)
But don’t sweat, sometimes bad publicity is better than no publicity! Just get your system fixed! Like SOON!
