UMass researchers are putting wireless communication devices on some turtle’s backs and gather data regarding their strolling.

The solar-powered computers are light enough so they don’t weigh the turtles down, and they don’t interrupt their mating habits[...]. Stuck to the shells of about 15 turtles found in spots near the Deerfield swamp, the gadgets will take periodic readings of the reptiles’ location and body temperature.

How would the red eared slider from our office feel if we tried to fit it with an AP?

Slashdot writes about an armada of 29.000 rubber ducks headed towards the British beaches. The toys felt overboard a container ship in 1992 and since them have floated across the oceans. Now they’re heading straight towards Britain’s south-west beaches.

Blue-Air announced that during 22-28 January a promotional campaign will take place offering 55,000 free tickets for February 2007 on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. The price for these tickets is 0 EUR + airport taxes.

So guess what I did this morning! Yup, booked 2 tickets. It took a while to find free (0 EUR +  taxes) tickets for our destination on convenient dates but we finally settled. And the airport taxes are about 44 EUR/(person*airport) so it’s a great catch. That’s mainly why I decided to advertise this promotion.

Don’t get me started on the quality of their services, I know they pretty much suck and blow at the same time but I’m off anyway. Hurry and see if you can score some at Blue Air’s website!
