Get a free Ubuntu Linux CD Pack
Written by Vlad on February 23, 2005 – 10:00 am2 or 3 weeks ago I was asking one of my friends (the Linux freak type) what distribution would suit a beginner’s needs. I wanted to setup a Linux box at home but didn’t want to waste too much time getting it up and running. He mentioned, among others, Ubuntu.

A quick visit to www.ubuntulinux.org was enough to make me wanna try it. I even requested a CD pack (Live CD + Install CD) as I didn’t feel like downloading, burnin and stuff… Well, instead of 1 CD pack I’ve got 10 (seems like the postal fees were well above the costs of the disks).
I gave some of them to my friends (the ones that showed some interest) but I still got a couple left. If you’re in Bucharest and you want one of them drop a line and we’ll get in touch.
